While we wait for Fangoria to publish their latest set pictures, I just wanted to let everyone know that we should have the rest of the A Nightmare on Elm Street 2: Freddy's Revenge Character Bios up this week, and hopefully our huge franchise retrospective will be published sometime this month.

Fangoria just published a "spoiler-filled set report" from A Nightmare on Elm Street that reveals the death of a certain character. Read on for more...

A Nightmare on Elm Street: Dreamspawn

Let me begin by welcoming all who come here to what I hope will become a regular column here on the site. Allow me to explain who I am and what I intend to do here. My name is Chris, I am a fan who, like you, wishes to delve deeper into the stories of the Bastard Son of a Hundred Maniacs. I will begin by reviewing the books that were released by Black Flame Publications which sadly closed its doors in late 2008. None of the books share continuity or continue with exisiting characters (with the exception of one that will be reviewed another time).

Actor Kellan Lutz talked to About.com about the upcoming A Nightmare on Elm Street remake at the 2009 MTV Movie Awards. I'm not able to embed the video so you will have to click here to watch it.

To skip the Twilight talk jump to around the 1:33 mark.

Chicago Public Radio recently visited the Nightmare on Elm Street set at the City Methodist Church in Gary, Indiana. You can listen to the broadcast or read the transcript here. Also below is a picture of the inside of the abandoned church. Photo by David Schalliol.

Lisa Webber The rich girl in town with an open mind and investigative attitude, quickly finds herself in love with Jesse Walsh. As the resident owealth she is the social center of the movie attempting to bring outcast Jesse out the shadows and make him into a normal healthy highschool teen. She concerns herself greatly with Jesse and listens receptively with open arms as she attempts to help him piece together the puzzle that used to once make him a sane man.

[Editor's Note: Due to a mistake on my part we have two bios for Jesse Walsh, one by our normal character bio writer, Chris Roberts, and one by our new writer Erick Uribe. So I just published them both.]

Bio #1 by Erick

In what looks like a scene involving a pre-burned Freddy Krueger JoBlo.com published a few pictures of Jackie Earle Haley stalking some children on the playground in the new Elm Street. Sorry about the awful watermarks, blame JoBlo!

According to the Nightmare script we read, Katie Cassidy's character, Kris, is basically the Tina Gray character in Elm Street 2010. She also stars in the upcoming Melrose Place reboot and is known to some horror fans as "Ruby" on Supernatural.

Joan Philo Casting in Chicago is looking for "special extras" for the A Nightmare on Elm Street remake on June 1st, 2nd and 3rd. Pay close attention because they ask for "18 to 27, [women] who are comfortable working topless in a tasteful pool party scene." Interesting... The full casting call is below.
