Here is another script review for the A Nightmare on Elm Street remake, this time by our good friends over at Retro Slashers.

Bloody Disgusting got the first picture of Elk Grove High School which has been transformed into Springwood High School in the Chicago area.

Two schools were chosen to be used in the film for exterior shots and a scene involving students swimming in a swimming pool. The other school is Hersey High School in the Arlington Heights area.

A Nightmare on Elm Street 2010 began filming a few days ago on May 5th.

Here is a video of all the A Nightmare on Elm Street deaths from part one to Freddy vs Jason. For a complete list check out our Elm Street Obituaries, and thanks to the cool person who put this together.

Producer Brad Fuller responded to some of the criticism about the Nightmare on Elm Street script on the Platinum Dunes' Blog.

Read it below.

Marge Thompson is a drunk. It's that simple. As the mother of Nancy, nurturing is just not what she does. Drinking to escape (mentally anyway) what she and the rest of the Elm Street parents did to Fred Krueger is the only thing she lives for. Denial consumes her when Nancy tries to tell her about her dreams. Marge eventually confesses what she helped do to Krueger and attempts to redeem herself. Sadly, she was one of Krueger's final victims....for now.

This is a not-so-favorable script review from Moviehole that was removed from their site then republished by Retro Slashers.

A Nightmare on Elm Street 2010 starts filming this week and we would like to thank everybody for making Nightmareonelmstreetmovie a success. We have a lot of great updates coming up including new Character Bios, a HUGE franchise retrospective, more Freddy Artifacts and much, much more.

Bloody Disgusting has learned that Clancy Brown has joined the 2010 A Nightmare on Elm Street cast as "Allan."

Brown has done a lot of voice acting work for cartoons -- the most famous probably being Mr. Eugene H. Krabs of SpongeBob SquarePants. He also voiced "Hakon" in the 1994 cartoon Gargoyles series.

What role "Allan" plays in the film is unknown.

According to Shocktillyoudrop.com David Cassidy’s daughter, Katie Cassidy has joined the cast of A Nightmare on Elm Street as "Kris."

Cassidy has appeared on the TV show Supernatural and played "Jessie" in the 2006 remake of Black Christmas. She is also currently starring on CBS' Harper's Island as Trish Wellington and is Ella Flynn in the upcoming Melrose Place 2.0 reboot.

Lt. Donald Thompson does not like unsolved murders. Especially ones that his daughter, Nancy, is mixed up in. Thompson simply wants to solve the case of Tina Gray’s murder, and make sure Nancy gets a good night‘s rest. Between his daughter slowly breaking down, his alcoholic wife, and a haunted past that’s about to come back from the dead, frankly, Donald is being pulled in too many directions to really be effective anywhere.
