I had to turn off comments due to another Spam poop storm. Elm Street fans are welcome to join and post on our message board until it passes. Sorry for the inconvenience.

The truth is... Platinum Dunes does not seem to be fond of sequels. They have made a total of 8 films, and have only made one prequel and zero sequels so far. We do know that director Samuel Bayer said he would not return for an Elm Street 2, and that Jackie Earle Haley has agreed to do at least two more films.

There was a lot of talk about a Friday the 13th follow-up that never materialized, and Dunes lost the rights to The Texas Chainsaw Massacre franchise -- basically the company's history says an Elm Street sequel is unlikely. Keep your fingers crossed!

While we wait for Platinum Dunes' version of A Nightmare on Elm Street to arrive in theaters on April 30th, Chris has decided to wrap-up the character bios for Dream Warriors.

Just a few quick updates and announcements: Remember the Freddy vs. Jason vs. Ash comic contest ends tomorrow, and I will be announcing the winners on Wednesday (9/23/09). So if you have not already entered, make sure you hurry up and do so.
