Robert Englund's new autobiography titled Hollywood Monster: A Walk Down Elm Street with the Man of Your Dreams is set to hit book shelves on October 13, 2009. It was co-written by Alan Goldsher the author of Modest Mouse: A Pretty Good Read and Hard Bop Academy: The Sidemen of Art Blakey.

Englund recently told FEAR.net about the book:

It has been announced by Warner Bros. that Nightmare on Elm Street has been pushed from an April 16 release date to an April 30 release date. No reason for the change was given.

Straight from the San Diego Comic Con comes the first picture of Freddy Krueger, and the official one sheet. Check them out below and let us know your thoughts.

Well to be technical, where is the love for Jackie Earle Haley? That's what Brad Fuller of Platinum Dunes asked in a recent blog update. In an extension of the last article we posted, Fuller confirmed that shooting has wrapped on Nightmare on Elm Street 2010. Going a little further, he also called out all of the Englund fans who are upset of the new Freddy. That being said, he also noted that Haley's Freddy is a creation entirely of Haley's and that he (Fuller) is proud to be part of this film.

Brad Fuller of Platinum Dunes has just announced via his Twitter page that Nightmare on Elm Street 2010 has officially wrapped! He also put up several more pics of on-set shenanigans, including one of the film's director Sam Bayer. Fuller said that he was "sad" and that NoES "....was a fun film to make".

With Comic-Con only two weeks away, we have to ask ourselves if we will see any footage. Hopefully we will bring you the news as soon as it is announced!

Real quick update! You can follow A Nightmare on Elm Street 2010 producer Brad Fuller on Twitter here. He just recently published this picture of Kyle Gallner from the set, and announced filming will officially wrap Friday. I have not heard of or seen an official Elm Street Twitter yet, but we will let you know as soon as we find it or it is launched.

Mezco Toys is releasing a new "stylized" Freddy Krueger action figure that will be shipping November / December 2009. It retails for $30.

"Standing 9 inches tall he features 8 points of articulation. Freddy comes complete with a scale Elm Street sign, a removable cloth sweater and hat, and the infamous tongue phone."

You can preorder the item here

These are not really "new" because Fangoria published them a few days ago... I was just never going to publish them because they're pretty much worthless, but then I figured I should let you be the judge of that. So if you want to check out a bunch of really-not-exciting Nightmare set pictures click here. I published the most interesting pic below.

Platinum Dunes will be giving a sneak peek of A Nightmare on Elm Street at the 2009 San Diego Comic-Con. The Elm Street panel will take place on July 24, between 10:15 and 12:30. No word on what footage they will be showing or who will be attending, but we will let you know as soon, and if, it is announced.

Exciting news to kick off the month courtesy of Bloody-Disgusting.com! The new Freddy Krueger, Jackie Earle Haley recently confirmed that he has signed a three picture deal with Platinum Dunes to bring us at least two more Nightmare on Elm Street films in addition to the one being released in April 2010. While the new film, which is still shooting, is a "reboot", it is clear that the two new films will bring new stories into the fold.
