Lt. Donald Thompson does not like unsolved murders. Especially ones that his daughter, Nancy, is mixed up in. Thompson simply wants to solve the case of Tina Gray’s murder, and make sure Nancy gets a good night‘s rest. Between his daughter slowly breaking down, his alcoholic wife, and a haunted past that’s about to come back from the dead, frankly, Donald is being pulled in too many directions to really be effective anywhere.

When we see him again in Dream Warriors we find that he, like Marge, has turned to the bottle to solve his problems. He is called upon to lay Krueger to rest one last time, and pays for it with his life. Played by John Saxon
