Here is a pretty important interview that I missed, Robert Englund, talking about the Elm Street remake and the man who took his place, Jackie Earle Haley.

Bloody-Disgusting.com has learned while visiting the set of the Elm Street remake, that Rooney Mara (Nancy) signed on for two sequels.

"While on set we had the chance to talk with the lovely Rooney Mara who revealed exclusively to B-D that she is in fact signed on for TWO movies as your new Nancy Thompson. Obviously, how well the first film performs dictates whether or a not a sequel will be developed, but assuming this is as sucessful as Platinum Dunes' Friday the 13th, I think it's safe to say we'll be seeing Rooney vs Freddy Krueger round 2."

Today I updated the Casting page with three new additions to the cast of A Nightmare on Elm Street 2010 (plus all the "uncredited" extras listed on IMDB.com).

Page updated with: Charles E Tiedje as Officer Delaney
Lia D. Mortensen as unknown
Anna Hagopian as Jesse's Mother

Kyle Gallner who plays "Quentin" in the 2010 A Nightmare on Elm Street remake talked to FEARnet about the film and Jackie Earle Haley as Freddy Krueger.

I'm starting to get worried that 85% of the new Nightmare news is going to be focusing on Kellan Lutz because he is in the Twilight films. I will do my best to not turn this Blog into a Lutz Blog, but due to the lack of news today, here is a brief and uninteresting interview he did with MTV.com. I just like how he keeps avoiding calling the original Elm Street films "horror."

Director Wes Craven recently told IGN that he is less than thrilled over the Platinum Dunes' A Nightmare on Elm Street remake. Kind of strange for someone who has pretty much agreed to have every single one of his films remade at some point.

Fangoria just published a "spoiler-filled set report" from A Nightmare on Elm Street that reveals the death of a certain character. Read on for more...

Actor Kellan Lutz talked to About.com about the upcoming A Nightmare on Elm Street remake at the 2009 MTV Movie Awards. I'm not able to embed the video so you will have to click here to watch it.

To skip the Twilight talk jump to around the 1:33 mark.
