Producer Brad Fuller addressed the "rumors" surrounding the Elm Street reshoots on the official Platinum Dunes' Blog yesterday.
"While many of you are enjoying a Christmas break I am working everyday on Elm Street. I have read all the rumors and want to make sure that you have the facts."
"We are doing a couple of days of reshooting Elm Street. People seem to be making a big deal about that fact. Elm Street is our 8th film and we've had reshoots for every film. As I have stated here many times, I try to read everything and I pay attention. The fans input has always been so valuable to me, and Elm Street is no exception. I don't want to get specific about what we are shooting, but suffice to say we heard you. After you've seen the film we can discuss what was reshot. I will say this though- nothing beats seeing Jackie back as Freddy- he works so hard to perfect his portrayal and leaves nothing to chance."

I am curious to see what they will bring to the series. I for sure, always wanted a darker, realistric, visually disturbing Krueger who molested and murdered the Springwood children. I always favored Krueger to make it hard to watch him, as he raped and torrified the town of Springwood, long enough to live a imprint on the minds of all people, making a name for himself as, the Springwood Slasher!!
I always was interested to see what would become as a Prequel, which was in the talks but never came to the big screen. :( Instead we have yet another, remake. (sorry meant, reboot).
In any event, as a sick Krueger fan that I am, I am eager and excited to see Krueger slash his way into our hearts, once again.

This just shows how hard they are working on this film, I AM STOKED to see Jackie as Freddy, I CAN'T WAIT FOR THIS FILM!!!! :D
I think there's absolutely nothing wrong with reshooting some scenes,as producers I expect you guys to take your projects seriously and it looks like that's exactly what your doing,no matter how great a movie is there's always room for improvement so I think you guys are doing what needs to be done. :) Can't wait to see it,it comes out the week after my bday,so I'm making it a present to myself.
BTW I loved Friday the 13th!!!!
