Freddy Krueger was named the top horror villain by the readers of SFX magazine.

Jam! Showbiz writes: "Wes Craven's disfigured child killer Freddy Krueger has been named the ultimate horror villain in a new poll. The A Nightmare On Elm Street bad guy, who terrorized Johnny Depp in the original 1984 picture, has topped a survey by SFX magazine, ahead of Pinhead from the Hellraiser movie series and murderous Michael Myers in Halloween."

TV Guide Magazine has learned that Robert Englund will be playing a "creepy custodian" on an upcoming episode of the TV show Bones.

The slasher-themed episode is set to air this spring. "The story finds jaded Brennan (Emily Deschanel) planning to skip her high school reunion, until a murder sends her and Booth (David Boreanaz) to the scene to investigate."

As we begin to countdown the days until Nightmare on Elm Street 2010 arrives, a ton of new pictures have mader their way online. Most of them are from the original trailer, but it's a slow news day, so here ya go.

Joey used to be a debator, but something has struck him quiet. And it's not the sexy nurse at Westin Hills. Together with the other Dream Warriors, he is able to find his voice and use his sonic scream to help defeat Freddy. A year later, his love of beautiful blondes is once again his undoing when he is killed by Krueger. Played by Rodney Eastman.

SciFi Wire recently spoke to the new Freddy Krueger, Jackie Earle Haley about some issues plauging the fans, namely his voice as well as the reshoots.

"We're still working on it. There's still more [additional dialogue recording] stuff to do, so it's an ongoing process, I think, until it comes out."

Basically, the same thing we heard from Brad Fuller a few weeks ago.

The official website for the Never Sleep Again: The Elm Street Legacy documentary launched a few days ago, but I still have not been able to find an official release date. The original press release said "spring of 2010," and I assume they are aiming for an April release, to take advantage of the remake arriving in theaters on April 30th.

The original press release also promised hours of footage, and that it would feature a documentary made by Heather Langenkamp.

Shortly after Will's admittance into Westin Hills, a failed suicide attempt left him paralyzed. He enjoys Dungeons & Dragons so much that it transends into the dream world, where not only is he the WizardMaster, but he can walk again. All of his powers could not save him from Freddy, who kills him after letting him know he doesn't believe in fairy tales. Played by Ira Heiden.

In addition to the A Nightmare on Elm Street Blu-ray being released on April 6th, we will also see a "new" box set containing all the original films plus Freddy vs Jason. I highly doubt anything in the sets will be different but a guy can dream. The box art might as well be a giant middle finger to fans as they use a picture of what is clearly Jackie Earle Haley instead of Robert Englund. No other specs as of yet, but we'll keep you posted.

While we wait for Platinum Dunes' version of A Nightmare on Elm Street to arrive in theaters on April 30th, Chris has decided to wrap-up the character bios for Dream Warriors.

Taryn's drug addicition landed her in Westin Hills with the rest of the patients. She had been seeing Freddy before being admitted and decides to use her dream power of beauty to fight after she realizes she is not alone in the battle. Sadly, she loses in a back alley rumble against the bastard son of a hundred maniacs when he uses her old habits against her. Played by Jennifer Rubin.
