Robert Englund recently chatted with Shock Till You Drop. Here is what he had to say about the Elm Street remake.

When asked, Have you had a chance to meet Jackie Earle Haley and figuratively pass Freddy's bladed glove?

Finally folks, the MPAA has rated A Nightmare on Elm Street a heavy R for strong bloody horror violence, disturbing images, terror, and language. Sweet. There were rumors going around that this movie might have gotten a PG-13, but this news certainly dashes that idea. The movie hits April 30, exactly three weeks from today.

Horror websites are so desperate to scoop each other, they would probably publish a picture of you in a Freddy mask if you told them it was real, and an EXCLUSIVE!!!! However, the newest picture of Freddy floating around the interwebs seems to be from a screen shot of the trailer. Using photoshop, webhead731 from the Superhero Hype message board, was able to give us a closer and cleaner look at Jackie Earle Haley's Freddy Krueger.

When Platinum Dunes put out it's remake of Friday the 13th, the television show that shared only its name was released on DVD. So why is there no plan to release Freddy's Nightmares? Yes, there is a Region 2 (Europe) release and yes, there are bootlegs you can purchase; but why no official release alongside the remake? If anything it should be easier now that Warner Bros owns New Line Cinema, seeing as how they released a select few episodes on VHS.

Hopping on the bandwagon is a pretty easy thing to do. Twilight is a great example. There are parodies, TV rip-offs, even porn! But Burger King is the only one I can think of that is killing two birds with one stone. Burger King is starting the whole "Open Late" concept in their restaurants very soon and they're using horror icons to promote it! Dubai-based ad agency Tonic was asked to help make an ad campaign and there answer was simple: Killers got to eat. And since they do their stalking in the evening, no brainer. Below you will find Freddy in the drive thru.
