Movieweb.com asked Jackie Earle Haley about a possible Elm Street sequel and of course he said he would return.

We already know that Haley signed a contract for three films and that director Samuel Bayer said he will not return.

Check out the interview below.

From DVD Active:

Warner Home Video has announced DVD ($28.98) and Blu-ray/DVD Combo ($35.99) releases of A Nightmare on Elm Street for October 5th. As far as we know, the only extra material on the DVD release will be a Freddy Krueger Reborn featurette. The Blu-ray release will include that, along with a Maniacle Movie Mode, an Alternate Opening, an Alternate Ending, a Deleted Scene, and a digital copy of the film.

Director Samuel Bayer told Home Media Magazine that the A Nightmare on Elm Street DVD and Blu-ray will feature an alternate ending, and deleted scenes.

"While Bayer shot new scenes in December to replace ideas he says didn’t work in the final film, other scenes were left on the cutting room floor that will appear on disc. For example, Bayer filmed a Freddy cave, which never appears on screen, as well as additional nightmares featuring Katie Cassidy and Thomas Dekker."

It was revealed to me through an anonymous source that the current Blu-ray/DVD release date for the newest Nightmare on Elm Street film will be October 5, 2010. As with any release date, be it movie, music, etc. this is subject to change, but until you hear different, mark your calendars!

Broadway World published pictures from the A Nightmare on Elm Street premiere in Madrid, Spain. The film opens in Spain on August 6, 2010. Jackie Earle Haley, Andrea Duro, Gonzalo Ramos, Edurne, Carlos Diez, Aros Jimeo, Luis Fernandez, and Ursula Corbero were all in attendance.

I added A Nightmare on Elm Street (2010) to our Box Office History. Here are the final theatrical numbers.

Freddy Vs. Jason had a higher domestic gross with $82 million in 2003.

While we wait for any Elm Street DVD news, here are some deleted scenes from the remake.

A Nightmare on Elm Street fell from number two to number six at the box office this weekend, earning an estimated $4.7 mil. Making the film's total gross $56,109,000. Iron Man 2 kept the top spot beating out Robin Hood and Letters to Juliet.
