Finally folks, the MPAA has rated A Nightmare on Elm Street a heavy R for strong bloody horror violence, disturbing images, terror, and language. Sweet. There were rumors going around that this movie might have gotten a PG-13, but this news certainly dashes that idea. The movie hits April 30, exactly three weeks from today.

The 2010 Elm Street soundtrack will be available on 4/27/2010. Sorry no Dokken or Fat Boys on this one! Here is the tracklist:

Here is a new clip from this year's WonderCon and a new poster that Bloody Disgusting ruined for us! The video features Kellan Lutz with Freddy in a diner!

Horror websites are so desperate to scoop each other, they would probably publish a picture of you in a Freddy mask if you told them it was real, and an EXCLUSIVE!!!! However, the newest picture of Freddy floating around the interwebs seems to be from a screen shot of the trailer. Using photoshop, webhead731 from the Superhero Hype message board, was able to give us a closer and cleaner look at Jackie Earle Haley's Freddy Krueger.

Remember all the Freddy Krueger MTV appearances -- like this Krueger / Dokken promo? Well he is up to his old tricks again, interrupting MTV commercials to promote his own film! Check out the videos below!

Here are a few promotional items from ShoWest, a yearly industry show. First up is the cardboard standee that will probably be in theaters soon, and second is a very cool Elm Street doorknob sign, that the studio left on everyone's hotel door.
