A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984) made Entertainment Weekly's 20 Scariest Movies of All Time list, published as part of a 2009 Halloween Special that also featured Wes Craven: 10 that shook ME up (see below) and the 20 top horror films since '89.

Yahoo.com just published an article on the "Top Five Highest-Grossing Horror Franchises," and our good friend Freddy Krueger made the list at #4! For the entire Nightmare box office history film-by-film click here.

I guess the people who run Dread Central are producing Never Sleep Again: The Elm Street Legacy, so they have been posting constant updates about the documentary. However, their "coverage" reads more like an ad for the film, and they really haven't announced anything new or exciting. I guess there isn't much more to say than it is a "comprehensive look at the Nightmare films," and will be available sometime in 2010.

They did mention that the website Elm Street Legacy should start having more updates this Friday (October 23, 2009).

Heather Langenkamp would like Elm Street fans to take a quick survey for her I Am Nancy documentary. It is really quick and worth it... Trust me!

I Am Nancy will look back at 25 years of Nancy Thompson and the fandom that surrounds the character.

Thanks to Chris Roberts for sending this to us!
