A Nightmare on Elm Street (2010) writer Eric Heisserer is penning Final Destination 5. Nicholas D’Agosto, Ellen Wroe, Meghan Ory (Dark House), Miles Fisher and Arlen Escarpeta (Friday the 13th) are the latest kids to try and escape death's plans.

Final Destination 5 hits theaters August 26, 2011.

Camelot Entertainment Group and DarKnight Pictures announced that they have signed a deal with A&E for the worldwide television rights to Never Sleep Again: The Elm Street Legacy.

During an interview with Philly.com's "Comics Guy", Lisa Wilcox revealed that she is joining Kathy Bates and Brittany Snow on the TV show Harry's Law (formerly titled Kindreds).

The hour-long drama stars Bates as a longtime patent attorney who gets fired from her firm and opens a new practice in a shoe shop. Look for it this Fall on NBC.

Wilcox also talked about her Dream Warriors audition:

While we wait for the 2010 Elm Street DVD announcement, here is a little Elm Street alumni news. Animals -- based on the best-selling 1992 novel by John Skipp and Craig Spector who co-scripted A Nightmare On Elm Street 5: The Dream Child -- arrives on DVD in the UK on August 9, 2010. Check out the synopsis and trailer below.
