Fangoria just published a "spoiler-filled set report" from A Nightmare on Elm Street that reveals the death of a certain character. Read on for more...
"The scene being shot involved a party that happens near the beginning of the film. Kellan Lutz falls asleep at the party, and the chaos begins. Much of what was shot involved the 'real-world' death of his character, seen from his friends' perspective," a source tells Fango. "Later he was strung up on a pole and is just completely butchered."
"While our first source reported that they did not see Jackie Earle Haley on-set as Freddy Krueger, our second source claims to have seen the man in-person."
"The makeup was astonishing. When people see him, they will have nightmares."
They also mentioned this at the beginning of the article which I found interesting:
"It's been quiet in the world of Elm Street lately, and sources tell Fango that the production is not happy with the amount of pictures and reports that were sneaking out over the past few weeks."
Fangoria claims they should have more photos from the set soon.
I watched each and everyone of the movies on the big screen. When i heard that they were rre-making the first movie I was thrilled. I wasn't worried about who was going to play Freddy, had to figure that they wouldn't fill the role with someone that couldn't pull it off. Those are big shoes to fill and anything less would result in a complete fail of the movie. Robert was perfect for the role because he created the villan, Jackie I am sure gave it all he could knowing he had to live up to what the fans expect. The least we can do is see it and then judge it. That is how I am going into it, excited that there is a NEW Nightmare on Elm Street movie not worried about if they screwed it up.
yea its not going to be the same but it will still be a good movie yea its going to be really hard to top the orginals and robert was the best person for freddy but give them a chance see the movie before u jump to conclusions i think either way it will be a good movie
I THINK PEOPLE NEED TO SHUT UP REALLY I CANT WAIT TO SEE THIS MOVIE AND YES IF YOU DONT LIKE THAT ROBERT ENGLUND IS NOT PLAYING FREDDY THEN DONT GO SEE THE MOVIE YOU ALL ARE SO MEAN AND FOOLISH DAMN LET THE PEOPLE REMAKE HISTORY AND STOP HATING AND THE NEW FREDDY LOOKS SCARY WOW I WILL HAVE NIGHTMARES FROM THIS ONE.

Wow, really? Nobody is forcing you to see this movie. If you think it will ruin the original then don't watch it. I'm tired of reading comment after comment about how Jackie shouldn't be Freddy or how Robert Englund should have been Freddy again. Robert did a phenomenal job with the character, however if he were to play Freddy again then it wouldnt really be a remake would it? We would see Freddy just the same as we have in 8 films now. It was good. However, it's time for a change. In my opinion, Jackie is a wonderful choice for the new freddy. Don't atttack him for playing the character before you've seen his work. Somebody had to do it. If it wasn't Jackie it would have been someone else and that person woud be the target for all of these rediculous verbal attacks. I love the original films just as much as anybody, but all good things must come to an end. The remake isn't a bad thing in any way. Myself along with many many many fans are excited. Just dont ruin this movie for us. Like I said before, If you're so against it, then don't go see it. Simple as that.
