The year was 1994. There was no Major League Baseball (there was a strike that year), Friends premiered on NBC and took over, and A Nightmare on Elm Street turned ten years old! In addition, Wes Craven returned to the monster he created with Wes Craven's New Nightmare. And a company called Gottlieb created "Freddy's Nightmare on Elm Street" pinball machine.
It features sound bytes and video from the first six films. The digital display which keeps your score is tinted blood red, as opposed to orange, the standard for most pinball machines. The inside of the machine has a mock up of Freddy himself, as well as his famous glove. In addition, the artwork inside the machine is mostly inspired by the films. Some iconic (Welcome to Prime Time Bitch!) others not as much (No screaming while the bus is in motion!).
The objective in the machine is fo you to enter seven different nightmares (levels) and save souls from being captured by Freddy.
Below is a video showing someone actually playing.
