Freddy Krueger returns in A Nightmare on Elm Street, a contemporary re-imagining of the horror classic. A group of surburban teenagers share one common bond: they are all being stalked by Freddy Krueger, a horribly disfigured killer who hunts them in their dreams. As long as they stay awake, they can protect one another…but when they sleep, there is no escape.
I have seen every Nightmare on Elem Street, Halloween, Friday the 13th, and so-on. I will say this, every other remake was BAD!! I could not stand watching them. The remakes lost what the originals had.. All the remakes was a way for them to make a quick horror film without trying to come up with something unique and new. All the best may have been used before and if you still wish to use an idea that someone has already done, give them the honor of making the movie good and somewhat in the same image of the original. I thought Rob Zombie was enough as a singer, but he showed the world that he could make himself look even worse as a Director. "House of a Thousand Corpse" was too much like a "Texas Chainsaw" wanna-be. The plot of his version of "Halloween" had very little of the original. The only reason it was "rated R" in the first place was that every other sentence had adult language in it. The movie was so sad that he even had his wife play in the movie. I'm sorry but Sheri Moon Zombie can not act for the life of me. The only reason she seemed any good in House of A Thousand Corpse is because she was a playing a character that was Easy and Retarded. I guess the same could go with Courtney Love in the movie, "The People vs. Larry Flynt."
Courtney Love could not act either and was playing as a character that was a stripper and whom was also Easy. Easy, meaning as a woman that gives it up very easily.. A slut! Regardless, come up with something new and if the people really that crap that came out of Friday the 13th and Halloween/H2 remakes, then i guess they will like the stupid crap from this new crap of a remake as well.
Don't forget that this is a remake of nightmare on elm street not a sequel. So it is basically the same movie with better special effects!!!
Go freddy!
are you guys going to burn his face more.and what makes a horror movie good is a lot of unqie deaths.and a lot of people dying. so in this case please keep nightmare deaths fun unqie and scary and promise you freddy will be reborn in a way wes craven never dream of.
I cant wait to see the new movie! I think with any sequel when the main charactor is played by another actor there is always people who will be upset. Give Jackie a chance hes a very accomplished actor and from what I saw of the trailer it looks very good. Im just glad to see another Freddy movie coming out.
Please, if you want to type GHETTO, or cannot spell, don't make us suffer having to decipher the crap you write. It shows your idiocy, ignorance, and your clear lack of education. Please refrain from posting. It's seriously disturbing having to read your garbage! Thank you!
yo wat da hell diz movie look lyk bullspit ya messed nightmare on elm street up im so mad tha director shuld get slapd for diz wack asz movie!!!!!!!!! WAT THA FUK!!!!!!!!!!
The very first and original Nightmare on Elm Street was scary, as I remembered. From NOES 3 on up, it just became too comical, and more heavy rock style slayer! I'm not all for that! If you're gonna make it a scary NOES, please stick to that. It's either Scary, or not scary at all. These days, people get a kick out of the "jump out of your seats, palms sweating, butt holes tightening, teeth grinding, fast heart beating" style scary movies, and lately, there just hasn't been any good ones.
It's nice to see the blood, guts, and ripping scenes, but please make the movie scary enough to make "us" say..."Woooooooow"!
This could be an awesome movie, and yes I am a big fan of the classic as long as they make this just as good and better while sticking to what we classic fans know about the movie and drawing new fans in then it will be a great hit and will hopefully lead to even better sequals. Cause be honest we could really use a good remake of some classic scary movies that make some kind of since and don't SUCK!!!!
Wow, genius. Thanks for clarifying that this one will NEVER be the like the first, since the first one was made back in 1984, some 25 years ago! Don't hurt yourself patting yourself on the back, captain obvious.
Freddy is supposed to be funny and scary not all scary. The movie will never be like the first one. I know I am a big fan.
On the first Nightmare on Elm Street wasn't funny he was scary and serious. I think part three and up is when the comedy kicked in.
