A new viral site for A Nightmare on Elm Street has opened up called keepherawake.com. It's a game in which you have to keep the young girl awake so she isn't killed by Freddy. This can be done through various means; everything from coffee and energy drinks to cold showers and cutting herself. Enjoy playing and leave your thoughts below!

Here are a few promotional items from ShoWest, a yearly industry show. First up is the cardboard standee that will probably be in theaters soon, and second is a very cool Elm Street doorknob sign, that the studio left on everyone's hotel door.
Also can someone teach Shocktillyoudrop.com how to watermark a picture properly? Why do they bother sharing these images if they're just going to ruin them?

Rick is a martial artist, Kristen Parker's boyfriend and a real nice guy. But none of that will help him defeat Freddy. Nothing could prepare him for an unfair fight against an invisible Fred Krueger. Luckily, it was his superb martial arts skills that Alice took from his death, allowing her to defeat him. One of Springwood High School's star football players, Dan is a friend of Rick Johnson's and takes a liking to his sister Alice. Survivors, they band together to defeat Freddy, falling in love in the process. Dan falls asleep at the wheel while driving to see Alice at work and is killed by Krueger before he finds out he is going to be a father. Played by Danny Hassell.

Empire magazine has an annual "Done in 60 Seconds" competiton, asking readers to submit minute long homages to classic and recent films. This year, one of the contestants gave a minute long version of the original A Nightmare On Elm Stree". While it is not the best submission, and is clearly played for laughs, they were able to feature all the best moments into the film (minus Tina's death and some very bad acting).

With about two months left until the new movie is released, the internet is buzzing with news and marketing to get everyone ready. Today we've been given four fan-made posters that are so convincing, the person who submitted them referred to them as "unreleasble studio materials", and it took some research to prove otherwise.
