Artist Jason Mecier created a portrait of Freddy Krueger out of 500 pieces of Red Vines licorice! The Springwood Slasher joins Kim Kardashian and Taylor Lautner as part of Mecier's candy art gallery -- created for "We Like to Watch TV", a new San Francisco art show.

Movieweb.com asked Jackie Earle Haley about a possible Elm Street sequel and of course he said he would return.

We already know that Haley signed a contract for three films and that director Samuel Bayer said he will not return.

Check out the interview below.

Rodney Eastman from A Nightmare on Elm Street 3 is currently starring in the 2010 remake of I Spit on Your Grave. Eastman plays "Andy" -- who I assume is one of the rapist.

Here is a YouTube video originally posted on Indie Wire. A Nightmare on Elm Street in 10 Minutes:

"It presents all six original Elm Street films plus New Nightmare and Jason vs. Freddy in a rapid succession of quotes recited and partly restaged by original cast members, including Heather Langenkamp, Robert Englund, Lisa Wilcox and Wes Craven."

From DVD Active:

Warner Home Video has announced DVD ($28.98) and Blu-ray/DVD Combo ($35.99) releases of A Nightmare on Elm Street for October 5th. As far as we know, the only extra material on the DVD release will be a Freddy Krueger Reborn featurette. The Blu-ray release will include that, along with a Maniacle Movie Mode, an Alternate Opening, an Alternate Ending, a Deleted Scene, and a digital copy of the film.

Director Samuel Bayer told Home Media Magazine that the A Nightmare on Elm Street DVD and Blu-ray will feature an alternate ending, and deleted scenes.

"While Bayer shot new scenes in December to replace ideas he says didn’t work in the final film, other scenes were left on the cutting room floor that will appear on disc. For example, Bayer filmed a Freddy cave, which never appears on screen, as well as additional nightmares featuring Katie Cassidy and Thomas Dekker."

It was revealed to me through an anonymous source that the current Blu-ray/DVD release date for the newest Nightmare on Elm Street film will be October 5, 2010. As with any release date, be it movie, music, etc. this is subject to change, but until you hear different, mark your calendars!

During an interview with Philly.com's "Comics Guy", Lisa Wilcox revealed that she is joining Kathy Bates and Brittany Snow on the TV show Harry's Law (formerly titled Kindreds).

The hour-long drama stars Bates as a longtime patent attorney who gets fired from her firm and opens a new practice in a shoe shop. Look for it this Fall on NBC.

Wilcox also talked about her Dream Warriors audition:
